Pear Cobbler - Fall Special

My current favorite fruit has been pears and Iāve been experimenting different kinds of desserts with them! Yup, I do have a problem with eating fruits as they are!!! š³
This Cobbler seemed like the perfect #Thanksgiving dessert and a perfect finish to the dessert overload on my #blog šš»āāļø
Itās super simple and the caramelized fruit in the butter batter with some vanilla Icecream is definitely something I keep dreaming about!

Ingredients:
For the Fruit base:
Pear - 3
Sugar - 2 tbsp + 1/2 cup
Milk - 3/4 cup
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder - 2 tsp (or pumpkin pie spice*)
Butter - 1/4 cup (2 tbsp)
Whole Wheat Flour - 3/4 cup
Salt - 1/2 tsp
*Pumpkin Pie Spice is a mixture of finely powdered cinnamon(1), cloves(1/8), cardamom(1/8), nutmeg(1/4), dried ginger(1/4), dried lemon peel(1/4).
Proportions in parenthesis
Method:
Preheat the oven to 325F
Wash and slice the pears vertically
Add 2 tbsp of sugar to the pears and let us sit
Add 1/4 cup butter to a baking dish and place it in the oven until the butter melts
In parallel, in another bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients- wheat flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, cinnamon powder/ pumpkin pie spice and milk- to form a batter
Pour the batter over melted butter in the baking dish. Do not mix it.
Place the sugar rested pears over the batter in any pattern of your choice
Bake in preheated oven at 325 for 25-30 mins until the top becomes golden brown
Enjoy warm pear cobbler with some plain vanilla ice cream šØ
