My YouTube feed these days is filled with recipe video recommendations! This sometimes is super inspiring but also triggers sudden cravings for me! One such video I watched was of some super gooey and fudgy egg-less brownies that looked so tempting! 🥴

I checked out the recipe and it looked pretty simple! But when I opened my supposedly well stocked pantry, I was missing two core ingredients- cooking chocolate and applesauce! I decided to experiment with whatever I had! So instead of applesauce, I made an orange reduction and used cocoa in the place of cooking chocolate! 🧡 I loved the results and I’m so excited to share this recipe with y’all! 🤩 From my Kitchen Today, Fudgy Eggless Orange Brownies! 🤎🧡🤎 #FromMyKitchenToday #EgglessOrangeBrownies #FudgyBrownies #EgglessBrownies #OrangeBrownies #TastyBrownies #GooeyBrownies #ChocolateOrange #Orangeandchocolate #ChocolateBrownies #Experiment #KitchenExperiments #EgglessRecipes #EgglessDesserts #FruitCake #Orange #Chocolate #EgglessChocolateBrownies #Loveforcooking #BayAreaLife #HomeChef #IndianFoodBlog #FoodBlog #Foodstagram #HappyMothersDay

Dish : Fudgy Egg-less Orange Brownies Course: Dessert / Cakes Difficulty: 🟩🟩🟩⬜️⬜️ Servings: 4 Note: Egg-less, Vegetarian

Ingredients: Orange (Cuties/ Kamala Orange) - 8 (small, sweet and juicy variety) Water - 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa - 1.25 cups All purpose flour - 3/4 cup Butter - 1/2 cup Sugar - 1/2 cup Vanilla extract - 1 tsp (Optional) Baking powder - 1 tsp Baking soda - 1/2 tsp Method:

  1. Peel the oranges and remove the fiber (as much as possible)

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the peeled oranges along with 1/2 cup water and let it simmer, mashing it occasionally

  3. After about 18-20 mins, this will have a sauce like consistency at which stage, add in the sugar and mix continuously until the sugar dissolves completely

  4. Remove the orange reduction from heat, set aside and allow it to cool slightly

  5. In a microwave safe bowl (or a double boiler) melt the butter along with cocoa powder to form a smooth silky mixture

  6. Add the orange reduction to the chocolate mixture and mix well. At this stage, add vanilla extract if desired

  7. Sift in the flour along with baking powder and baking soda into the chocolate mixture. This will form a thick brownie batter

  8. In a greased baking tin, 8” preferably, pour the batter and level it

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for about 25-30 mins

  10. Allow the brownie to cool completely before removing it from the tin and ideally, refrigerate for an hour before cutting it

  11. Serve warm with some Ice cream and satiate your brownie cravings!
